My love is not an expectation.

My love is the appreciation
Of all the ways
You have made my life richer

My love is the promise
Of never forgetting
How you gave me
What was yours to keep

Your Sunday morning touch
Your Friday night look
Your afterglow whisper
Your strength in the breakdown
Your kindness for a stranger

So take my love and stow it away
To brace you in the moments of doubt

And never doubt my love
For I freely gave you, my love,
What was mine to keep
