And then ... you believe ...
FEATURED in The Writing.Com Newsletter: Romance/Love:A Fake Love, Editor's Picks, by Samberine Everose , January 6, 2020

One day I decided to go on-line
To search for an honest, loving man
I didn't have to wait for a long time
But he was nothing but a scam

He introduced himself to me
As a widowed military service man
I believed in him, you see
But he was nothing but a scam

He said he was a LTC in Delta Forces
And deployed in dangerous Afghanistan
He had a young daughter, two divorces
All lies; he was nothing but a scam

My heart became all his
But he only wanted my info to spam
I thought I was his life and bliss
But he was nothing but a scam

He told me of his deep forever love
He was going to ask Uncle Sam
To come home as fast as a dove
But he could not, he was just a scam

He said I needed to pay for his ticket home
Send money to Sadiyab and Ann
I researched on my Google Chrome
But you see, he was nothing but a scam

I guess I am smarter; I sent him no money
God bless the reverse picture info scam
I believed I was his sweet honey
But he was nothing but a scam

Beware of a romance-texter-scammer
And who is really behind the "man"
It could be a woman, or a bold gambler
He is a heartless "nothing"; just a scam.
