Of each new day.
WHAT I SEE

I woke this morning to another day,
And this is what I always say
Thank you God, the day seems bright
Time I have to see the sight,

Of that tall pine tree that bends,
In the wind that Heaven sends.
To see the creatures of the land,
A scene to me that’s always grand.

The farmer standing in his field,
Eating an apple he just pealed.
The general store the owner unlocks,
Beyond the river that flows over rocks.

The town is beginning to come alive,
All now working a living to strive,
The time we are here leaves us fast,
Yet again will longer last.

If our memory in someone’s mind,
Is strong enough to forever bind
A love of us, for having been here,
So they remember year after year.

This one fact I know is true,
Loved one, I’ve not forgotten you
