...will I ever be able to?
"It's a beautiful day", someone told me,
But the thought of you but won't let me see that.

You still stand in the way of everything I do,
And I can't stop contemplating about you.

You're a hindrance. Why won't you ever leave my head?
Thinking of you gives me concussions,
And the little things about you that made me happy,
Blind me of what I have lost to you.

My world took colour because you came into it,
But now the color has dulled and paled.
It's ugly, it's terrible, and I'd rather go blind
But no matter what I try, the depressing shades remain.

Etching our history over the wounds you left me.
It hurts to let you stay, it hurts to let you leave,

Broken and withering on the inside,
I cannot pretend to be okay anymore.

Why did you ever leave?
Why won't you leave me completely?
Haven't you scarred me enough,
Sharpening your reckless blade over my wounded soul?
If not, then go ahead,
Go ahead and satiate yourself,
But in return, you must promise me that
You'll finally get your shit out of my head.

 Holding on to you...  (E)
...but for how long?
