The Poem is to give meaning to life and death and the rebirth of our spirit.
Winter Frost

{footnote:#}I see your leaves on the tree before the Winter Frost.

Preface:To a neighbor I do not know. It's August 2019. As I sit on my deck, I notice over the last few days activity of people coming and going. I believe a person is dying in the building next to where I live. Could not help but notice a van with information about a "French Speaking Baptist Church." I know some of my neighbors are Haitian, so it seems to be the case with the person who is dying. I wrote the poem because I was so moved by the sadness in the visitors eyes. I was also moved thinking how loved this person is and wanted to offer friends and family some comfort. The Poem is to give meaning to life and death and the rebirth of our spirit.

So young and vibrant. Green as emeralds in the sky.

Spring anew. Anew life with such Exuberance!

You cannot resist the excitement of your youth

Before the Winter Frost.

Summer days make you linger as the sunlight shines upon

Your leaves before the Winter Frost.

Oh! The glory of your youth before the Winter Frost.

Preparing yourself for a long winter nap as your leaves

Turn brown loosing their lust before the Winter Frost.

Tumbling to the ground melting in earth's soil preparing for

The Winter Frost so that you, a Heavenly Devine, will be reborn
After the Winter Frost.

Let us rejoice the Winter Frost.
