Beauty is best admired from a distance.
A vapourware cathedral in the heart of Barcelona,
gothic mason towers looming pitch-black over Praha,
a labyrinth of hedges by a palace in Vienna,
stone-hewn monuments and streets of marble in Valletta...

...all this and more, you are.

The English garden blooming verdant in the heart of Munich,
smooth rocks on the beach outside a hotel room in Nice,
mazes of water running through Amsterdam and Venice,
the shimmer of the Seine under the bridges in Paris...

...all this and more, you are.

Old castles dotting the riverbanks of the Ljubljanica,
terraces perched high atop the cat-ruled streets of Gzira,
a city carved in cliffsides by the shores of Monte Carlo,
the archipelagos of Stockholm, Helsinki, and Oslo;

...all this and more, you are.

Never have I feared
to tell just how I feel.
Stunned and bewildered,
I am head over heel.

Never have I feared
these words of mine turn real.
Yet now Hell is empty,
and all devils here.
