Held captive
I am held captive
By my anxiety.
I am in a dark room
With no sunlight.
She forces words down my throat,
And drills terrible thoughts into my brain.
She had tied my hands behind my back
With my self loathing.
She looks my in the eyes
And tells me I am nothing.
Her plan is not to kill me.
Rather,
Torture me
Until I wish to be dead.
She uses my past against me.
I used to fight her.
I know well enough now,
That she is far too powerful.
Her grip around my neck tightens,
As she whispers,
“I’ll never leave you alone.”
