A poem inspired by an urban lifestyle in Shanghai, China.
On Your Street

Time place people memories
Seek more and ask less
Treasure to exist, treasure to be
captive
inside a moving prism of fog, of
progress unspeakable in its force, its
speed without measure.
Too fast to breathe and watch centuries
collapse at the feet of pride and class
this class is heavier than it imagined
the weighted fist pummels high and with
might that would crush a patient soul
why ask, when all you need is the power
what powers are best, should it be the first?
Time delivers.
Hast and unforgiving aggression.
Does it look calculated or a frenzy to claim what could be
the door has endless points to enter
