trying to love someone who doesn't love themself
I try each day to make you smile, but I am clearly living in denial.

I thought to love you more each day would simply take your pain away.

Instead in silence I lay each night, afraid to speak don't want to fight.

The things I want to say to you are locked within my heart.

They lie beside the love I have alone and in the dark.

I wish that I could make you see if you would let go of all the misery that what I feel for you is real and your life is not so bad.

Yet I always sit in silence feeling scared , alone and sad.

Silently letting go of the love I never had.
