About Novalis the German poet. 1800's
Never have I felt such pain.
Never have I read such gain.
Your love has gone to the grave.
For your cure, I crave.

The night shone beauty for you and her.
She was so young and tender still.
Taken early by the monster of the night.
Your poetic feelings displayed to sight.

Romance and yearning, spinning around.
Your love was intense and off the ground.
Never you worry for Novalis it's true.
I take on your writings and value them too.

I'll remember your hymns and the way they were aired.
I knew all along it was you who cared.
Philosiphying the loss of love.
In your hymns, they are free, just like a dove.
