This is a palindrome poem, a poem that is flipped in the middle to tell a different story.
You swear to never let it go
When you finally reach it
And hold it in your arms and make it yours
All you need is to touch it
As it seems to take a step back
You move forward
Going just slightly out of reach
It slips from your fingertips

It slips from your fingertips
Going just slightly out of reach
You move forward
As it seems to take a step back
All you need to do is to touch it
And hold it in your arms and make it yours
When you finally reach it
You swear to never let it go
