an ode to his eyes
I noticed your eyes the other day
something about them I hadn't seen before
I thought they were green
and I was surprised to see they were the darkest of brown
with the lightest hazel flecks buried through out

like a deep ocean of chocolate
that I'd pleasantly drown in
Sun kissed eyes so bright
the sun, moon, and stars
were jealous of the eyes the universe create

Warm and comforting like being
wrapped up in a blanket in 40 degree weather
The feeling of floating in the ocean
but not even worrying because
your eyes were like home to me

No matter where I'd go
No matter what changed
those eyes would bring it all back home to me
