a color poem that i wrote during library club last week.

Silver

Reminds me of the moon,
Like a blanket dotted with stars,
Embedded into the night sky,

Shining light onto the earth,
Until Sun's light appears in the sky,
And everything begins to wake,

Waiting for when the stars dance again,
Above homes where sleeping souls lay,
Tucked safely into their beds,

Of Wandering spirits not yet at rest,
souls glowing silver from the shadows,
like a gray wolf's pelt,

Or winter's first snow falling to the ground,
all shine silver underneath the moon's light,
Nickels laying discarded on empty streets,

The symbol of Grace and Elegance.
