In a festive mood,
the year draws to an end
celebrating Hanukkah,
Winter Solstice,
Christmas,
and Kwanzaa.

Winter holiday candles light
the long cold nights
with joy,
while prayers and carols rise
expressing humanity's gratitude
for the blessings
of the passing year.
