I gave it my best shot
I have to admit it,
I’m dead on my feet.
I’m tired and worn out
and feeling quite beat.
I gave it my best shot
to fold it quite neat.
The rest of the laundry
is done and complete.
But now I am ready
to live with defeat.
I never can conquer
this darn fitted sheet.
