A free verse poem based on a photo prompt.
I looked up at Grandma's curtain
and saw the light shimmer through the fabric
the old time house made me want a toy

I examined Grandma's curtain
and wondered who lived in the house
wishing that I could live there too

The wind blew through Grandma's curtain
caressing my face and bringing the scent of a loved one
I smiled and went outside to greet her

I placed my wriggling little one on the spot
and had him look up at Grandma's curtain
answering his questions about the house

I felt the lattice of Grandma's curtain
as I folded it into a box
then gave my parents a warm hug
