A poem of affirmation
You’re sitting across the table, soaked in absolute oblivion.
I stare intrusively.
Oozing recalescence, you’re sipping that chiller

I vanish into a reverie
With cogitations of blissful turmoil,
I regenerate into a Nirvana of prodigious memories
Each aspect of this landscape a glaring reflection of your character

The towering mountains of your kindness impede the gale force winds of despair
The undulating river of your affection meanders through me
My ocean overflowing with a prideful want
The unavoidable estuary I yearn

I beam back to that sit across the table
In astonishment once again by your brazen innocence
With my pencil in hand and my inspiration under duress
I am pleased to have no choice.
Sentenced to a life of writing about you
