my word entry for week of Feb. 8
The maker wrestles the elements
of fire and steel.
The mystical magician
practicing arts almost forgotten,
wrings from them beauty or function.
The smell of hot metal and singing hair
are the scents of creation.
The ring of hammer against steel,
taking ore to artifact,
completing the transformation.
