Valentines


All the valentines in the world
could be shredded to confetti,
tossed and recycled,
But you would know I still love you.

All the chocolate hearts
could be melted in a pot
offered up to the gods,
But I would know you still love me.

All the roses and diamonds
could be withered and lost,
mulched and mangled,
But we would still know....Love.
