Shadows

When everything is at its worst
and things are far from right,
remember that there’s always hope.
You can’t have shadows without light.

When you are ready to give up,
your life is such a fright,
remember that you’re not dead yet.
Dig deep and find the strength to fight.

When all the world seems upside down
without a chance in sight,
remember that the dawn will come
and everything seems worse at night.
