But I saw them
SELDOM SEEN

Far across the ocean, wide and deep,
I met some friends that I will keep.

They dressed in green with tall hats each,
Had temperaments sweet as a peach.

Each of them had a pot of gold,
The youngest to the very old.

With job to keep that was unbound,
Each had his pot there on the ground.

Then came a man down from the town
and stole a pot without a sound.

I tripped him up as he walked by,
Told the small guy “no need to cry”.

I had to leave, come on back home,
No more with Leprechauns to roam.

New friendship, Loyalty and love,
Showered on me from up above.

I got it there in Ireland Green,
With little people seldom seen.
