They shift, they move, they glide, oh my...
The stars I watch alone at night,
they shift,
they move,
they glide,
oh my...

Twisting, turning, flashing, burning.
Balls of light?
They are
infinitely more.

Wishes and desires,
romance, inner fires,
souls of people,
not just those,
but magic.

So fantastic,
people sung them into stories,
legends,
constellations,
drawings.

The stars I watch alone at night,
they move in patterns,
oh so bright.

Pretty,
gorgeous,
starry night.
