wrote in a time of great personal turmoil.
he walked upon the road of the sabbath on the second day.
on the first day he walked back.
on the third day he walked blind
and left god behind
on the first day he lost his reason to walk,
ever since it hasn't really made sense,
on the second day he lost the will that did stalk,
on the third he saw no light.

he hoped god would give him reason,
hoped god would lead him right,
orphan left on the road of treason,
but all he did was strip him of sight.
left him heretic, left him behind,
but left both exactly the same.
god died that day in all reality,
though the only that matters is mine.

time moves so slow with god,
time is breakneck without.
if i know one thing to be true,
i'll never know my fate,
i'll never achieve that sate.
