A recount of an unusual experience.
I
I stared at the stars and found infinity
Looked to the ground and found affinity
Looked to the mirror and saw it in me
Then I knew it was internal, fighting to be free
And I wish I could find the same within us all
I’m searching for a response when I make a call
I retreated to the alleyway, silent echoes were what I heard
And it gets so lonely when you feel the world is absurd
Let me hear your voice, let me hear something real
Let it rise above me, while below you I kneel
When I speak I’m just drawing circles behind you
But I desperately want to find you

II
Or am I slipping too fast; is there no point in trying?
I found how to live while you’re all busy dying
People permanently blinded, mechanical walking
Meaningless phrases and meaningless talking
All that’s left in them is an imitation
Their superego is their limitation

III
I just died and now this is the real me
I stopped feeling so I’m finally free
Stopped eating and I’ve become a deity
I don’t need a body, just my soul and my mind
You can’t harm me, there is nothing to find
Look right through me, I’m completely transparent
Look right at me, my truth’s completely apparent
Let me show you there’s no vanity
Let me show you it’s a new reality
So don’t blame me, there is nothing I intend
Blame it on fate – and it is my fate to ascend
