Static, but not in stasis
I held the door open for you my friend
I let the way to the unknown become apparent for you
I left the breeze to blow in and upon your face
To soothe your pain,
To comfort your soul,
Torn apart and emptied out.
I let the birds take you away
To fly with them,
To soar over the earth,
To view the splendours few allow themselves to see
I cast a shadow upon your left side so that you would struggle
To remember what you lost because of your mistakes
I left that day because you could not embrace what I had given to you
