A poem about walking through a forest the morning after a heavy storm.
Green Interlude

Trees planted in rambling groves
are captivating,
spectacles of shade.

Swaying in strong wind,
as a storm brews up above.

Gales that gust against their branches,
turn up their leaves or wholly dispatch them
but trees are rooted and remain steadfast.

Dewy webs and treetop lace
flushed and glowing in dawning light,
astonishing nature show.

Misty kiss of sunlight
peeks through storm soaked
leaves, inviting cool respite.
