For The Lighthouse Poetry Contest
The sweat on my hands became like glue,

         bonding me to my seat.

Then came that still small voice,

as when God whispered to Ezekiel.

He was urging me to repent -

to endure past the easier option.

I did not falter,

         until reaching the alter.

The sound of His voice

It's the voice that set me free.

Today, His voice still speaks -

         teaching me His Word.

The Holy Spirit still talks with my spirit,

guiding me, assuring me with His love.

Jesus said His sheep hear His voice.

         Do you hear His voice?

                   Are you born from above?
