Poem about suicide
I opened the door , a gateway to peace
I welcome you in , a caller in the dark
I kneel before you, awaiting the time
I listen with intent, for your sirens call.

I feel the cold, the draught of despair
I feel the need , to lay down and sleep
I feel the call, of nights loving embrace
I feel the chill , of your tender touch.

I lie here thinking , of life’s wasted paths
I hold up my arms , to welcome you here
I opened the door , to allow you in
The door was my wrist, I opened for you.
