A poem about pain and unrequited love
Fallen Angel

The angel walked upon the earth
Her wings a tattered mess
She bore the scars from a toil so hard
Her life a torment , her hell no less.
Upon her skin , the silvered grooves
Where her demons oft had fought
The razors edge , a sharpened blade
Had rendered a lesson untaught.

To one who saw her this earthly maid
His heart was filled you love
Yet her heart was dead , her soul devoid
She killed the pure white dove.
For in her heart , so many times
Had lived hurt and untold fears.
She closed herself down , shut herself off
She rejected romantic ideas.

When night was black and other sleep
She scratched away the pain
A slash and hack a gouge and scrape
Till blood fell like morning rain
This earthly angel with heavens light
Walked ever in the shade
This ode i send to heavens fair maid
For my life to her I gave .
