Those lightening bolts put on a show
Lightening split the western sky
A storm was drawing near
While in the east the air was calm
The sky was blue and clear

Those thunder clouds kept getting close
It wouldn’t be too long
The rain would be here soon enough
The winds were getting strong

I sat out on the covered porch
And watched the storm roll by
There’s nothing like a thunder storm
To make your spirits fly

Those lightening bolts put on a show
The thunder rocked the earth
If you had paid a hundred bucks
You got your money’s worth

Nature always finds a way
To put man in his place
To let him know it stands above
Our dismal human race
