Those lightening bolts put on a show
Lightening split the western sky.
A storm was drawing near.
While in the east the air was calm.
The sky was blue and clear.

Those thunder clouds kept getting close.
It wouldn’t be too long.
The rain would be here soon enough.
The winds were getting strong.

I sat out on the covered porch
and watched the storm roll by.
There’s nothing like a thunder storm
to make your spirits fly.

Those lightening bolts put on a show.
The thunder rocked the earth.
If you had paid a hundred bucks,
you got your money’s worth.

Yes, nature sure can find a way
to put man in his place.
To let him know it stands above
our dismal human race.
