It reminds me of him, the ring
In situ on my finger, burning
All the memories;
The jokes, the pain
The trust, the blame

The silver glints
Now a part of me
My mind reprints
The fantasy
The words said,
Feelings of dread
Encompass me

In the mean, the numbness spread
It all wasn't real
My arms bled
Until I couldn't feel
My mind abandoned purpose
And I was constantly nervous

My carcass hollow
I learned to not trust
I learned to swallow
And go with their gust...
