A Pop-Poetry Contest Entry
It’s time to go out for a drive,
Wind in our face makes us feel cool.
While the sun warms up your insides.
Mixing to make us feel alive.

There is simply one problem, when;
It’s time to go out for a drive.
If your best ride is a classic,
Repair is certain to threaten!

Ping! Clang! To the shoulder we go.
Oh, old Firebird, didn’t you know?
It’s time to go out for a drive.
Instead... we’ll just wait for a tow.

The mechanic says, “Here’s the thing…”
“She’s an ol’ gal, you broke her spring.”
It’s a wrecker, but no one cares!
It’s time to go out for a drive.

Line Count: 16
