Short haiku structured poem about depression.
Depression comes as
Dark mental extremities
Consuming all thoughts.

Swarms slowly, silent.
She runs, chased by memories
That run much faster.

Looking for shelter
In the catacombs of her
Mind. Lost, weak, lonely.

Hiding in the midst
Of fear that her memories
Will reign, take control.

Knowing she has to
Run faster, faster so they
Don’t catch her; et al.
