A poem made with the perspective of people being actors on a stage no matter where they go
Under a veil of light,
Lies a theatre
Where masks emerge,
And never escape.

They dance to music,
Perfecting each move,
To sing spotlessly
Under a curtain call.

An ocean of lies
Tells them secrets,
To gossip and rumour
Through a voiceless speech.

Thus, they laugh
Ignorant and cold,
Trapped forever
In cruel dissonance.

As midnight strikes,
The theatre is emptied,
The actors are gone
And so are their masks.

The stage is silent --
No applause to hear
A dream unanswered,
For a chance in heaven.
