My dad and I have never had the best relationship, so this poem is a reflection piece.
Dear Daddy,

Please don't mistake my silence as being cold.
Please don't mistake my questions as attacking you.
Please don't mistake my perspective as being fact.
Please don't mistake my pain as being all your fault.
Please don't mistake my love for you as being gone.
For even though our relationship as father and daughter,
has never bloomed,
in my heart you will always be my daddy.
My question for you now is,
what will become of us?
