What is it like to dwell in white?
White

Snow lies on the plains.
In the distant whiteness, lights twinkle.
Trees, from dull to bright, have changed,
And the swing gently swings.

A puppy with light colored feet,
Contentedly playing on the front porch,
Pounces fiercely on a friendly cat,
Who chooses not to be friendly any more.

The car sits still, with windshield covered,
And footprints in the yard mark a trail taken.
The snow comes silently on and on,
And all living creatures dwell in white.
