Ransom

I don't know what I thought
While trying to be better
I hadn't considered love

Since first I was given
The chance to be someone
I just assumed that his wisdom was enough

To have his approval
To enjoy his encouragement
Was more than I could have asked

But never did I think
That more was involved
That He could love me

I heard a song
I read some words
And they pierced my heart

Should I cry
Or should I die
or turn around and face him?

Because He loves me
The one who made all this
He actually loves me!
