Music as played over the telephone.
The music show begins at eight PM;
a Bluetooth speaker in place for the listeners,
the Apple Computer providing the songs.
Approximately sixty eight minutes per show,
give or take a minute—those who listen
say they enjoy the shows very much;
“A show goes very fast,” says Marilyn,
As though it ended before it began.”
Peppy tempo, rock and roll
Oldies of the decades past;
the music goes into the phone,
landline, a cordless AT&T
placed upside down
in an eyeglass holder.
Then Insignia Speakers,
left and right close by,
and songs so loaded
on windows of Google Chrome…
I find that six work well enough
to stay ahead, as one song ends
to start another, so to blend
them without the silence of dead air.
And thus the Rolling Stones fade out
as Hound Dog by Elvis begins.
A bit of lag can override
the confidence a Disc Jockey has
for smooth transitions, depending
on the Internet usage.  Still, shows
go on with music aplenty, variety
grand and nowhere a disruptive
commercial to be heard.
