Is this real or just a dream?
The streets darkly silent;
Sauntering below-
Frozen streetlights.
Slums; Depressed, Dirty.
Acrid smells of Piss and Perfume,
Prostitutes lustrous in the shadows.
Getting Nauseous;
Guttertown;
Shabby, trashy and-
windswept.
Hot flashes;
Cheap motels,
Now brothels.
Staggering;
Across the Greenish-
Sodden Sidewalks,
Down the scowling,
Narrow alley ways.
Things are becoming-
Dreamily familiar.
I come across this-
Broad, cryptic arch,
Rotted; Brass and oaken.
Rusted Neon sign half lit,
Flashing Epileptic.
Feeling Anxious;
Wretch the door open;
Scents wafting of nice Egyptians,
Fresh sweat soaked leather seats.
Dizziness is encroaching.
I seem to be underwater?
Atmosphere; Suffocating.
Oh my chest is on fire!
Heart palpitations,
Kill me now.
I stumble, traversing the-
smokey "Nut-house" of a tavern.
Glimpses of faces'
So strange and voracious;
Endless commotion-
Devouring my ears.
Laughs and smiles;
Artificial.
Diabolic; Adulterous postures.
Shivering;
Hands shaking.
My vicious serpentine;
Looks to dominate me,
Beginning to descend into the depths,
Immersed asphyxiation.
A shouting arousal;
I hear a voice,
"Are you okay!?"
