What I see on the news...
The American Dream
(move to trash)
Our Fathers’ Visions
(move to trash)
A Chicken
(trash)
In Every Pot
(trash)
(all gone to pot)

They took
My American Dream
And tarnished it
From the voting booth
To that big white house.

Somehow we all lose
When it becomes less
About being an American
And more about
Trashing the American dream
To advance party politics.
