Vent poem about a friend who passed away recently
Regret is the tonic of the living,
Shoulda, woulda, coulda,
It would never be enough,
The sand in the hourglass doesn't stop falling

Time ticks on,
Do the wounds heal or just scab over?
Only time will tell,
I am reminded again

Memento Mori,
Only yesterday we laughed,
Memento Mori,
Only yesterday you were here

And now you're not.
