A View of the Maritimes

Looking out my window,
atop the steepest of peaks
I can see
The Vast Horizon.

A hundred and seventy miles of Land and Sea stretch beyond
the overcast skies of
Saint John.

To the west above the hillside of Southern New Brunswick
The Clouds Part
revealing a yellow sky.

To the south
Beams of Sunlight
pierce the
cumulonimbus veil
bathing Nova Scotia
in the
brightness of day.
