How depression feels
Trees hidden by a dense cold fog
Dark indistinct silhouettes
Life dismal, unable to escape

Occasionally, a bright beam shines
Hope glimmers, my loved ones
Now here, then gone, fading
Inescapable dismal reality returns

Depression hidden from all
Dark silhouettes in an empty room
Everything, cold, indistinct
Lost, listless, marking meaningless time

A short sharp road curve appears
Headlights briefly cut fog
A parsec of light, my loved ones
Flashes by, depression flicks away

Again, dark silhouettes surround
Cold, indistinct, my life
Dismal life, an endless circle
