a twist on an old nursery rhyme/lullaby for the "Monsters Under the Bed" challenge
Hush, little baby, don't say a word
and be afraid of the things you heard.

Time has come upon the Witching Hour,
darkness has reached its greatest power.

All the beasties have come out to play
and will be out 'til the light of day.

The monsters come to exact their toll
on all the unwary, naughty souls.

Just stay quiet and hide your head
as all the demons dance 'round your bed.

Don't make a sound, don't move an inch
while the monsters poke, prod, and pinch.

Don't show you're scared, they feed on fear
when they sense it, they all draw near.

Listen to my words and heed them well,
lest the monsters take you straight to Hell.
