Poetry for everyone
My favorite time of the day,
Falls between evening and night.
When the mountains are but silhouettes,
And the stars begin twinkling bright.

The nighthawk takes over the sky,
As the meadowlark nestles in bed.
A coyote serenades me,
And a bright full moon shines overhead.

The chirping of crickets begins,
And the flexuous bats fly with ease.
The apple tree leaves slightly rustle,
Stirred up by the cool evening breeze.

As dusk slowly fades into darkness,
The world disappears, so it seems.
But I wander inside to my bed,
To relive it again in my dreams.
