April 1 Pantoum for Katya the Poet's Dew Drop Inn - Folly in Rhyme
The waves of you, unyielding at my shore
as if to poke and pester me to bend,
reminding me what common sense is for;
my half-baked heart you seek to apprehend.

As if to poke and pester me to bend,
you batter, pushing crash and pulling plea.
My half-baked heart you seek to apprehend;
erosion on the shrinking beach of me.

You batter, pushing crash and pulling plea
relentless in your giddy goal to cause
erosion of this shrinking beach of me;
I hear the win implied in your applause.

Relentless in your giddy goal, you caused
reminders of what common sense is for;
I hear - but choosing folly, I applaud
the waves of you, unyielding at my shore.
