April 7 Tri-Fall Poem for Katya the Poet's Dew Drop Inn - myth. monster/contemp. cryptid
Does Nessie boast of fame
to her friends
over Lemon Lavender tea
because men call her name
when she lends
an occasional glimpse of knee?

Does Bigfoot tell tall tales
to his young
of fearsome, furless, monster men
in hideous detail
softly sung
with an almost-whispered amen?

Does the Yeti believe
we exist
when the vast Asian darkness falls
and there's naught to perceive
but the mist
and spooky human mating calls?
