To Get to May

When March goes out
(like a lamb, they say)
there's one more month
to get to May.

From Winter's frown
to Summer's smile,
from snow to sun -
it takes a while

Between them, April
makes things grow -
she's known for showers,
don't you know.

And when at last
her storming stops,
the lovely flowers
start to pop.

So don't give up,
and don't complain
When we are stuck
with April rain!
