The eternal struggle of left brain vs right brain
Poetic Tension

Math, a vestal virgin,
serves the temple of science
with steadfast purity.

Words, streetwalkers of discourse,
their semblance shifts and twists
with every john’s desire.

Truth, a wriggling eel,
eludes the arbitrary grasp
of competing norms.

Poetry, diametrically composed,
lives between the lines
of faithless certainty.
