Driving away from the negative and toward the positive.
Black Mesa rears her strong head
Over the twisted and flat ruins
Of another Oklahoma evening
As I slowly motor into the past.

Over the twisted and flat ruins
Of car wrecks and life
Hang the dust and smoke
That life has created.

Of another Oklahoma evening
Up on Black Mesa I dream,
When the views last forever,
And forever; a sweet contemplation.

As I slowly motor into the past,
And away from bad decisions
I wonder where the promises went,
And where you are.
